Applications
Remix Sand Cement Screed is
suitable for use as an internal non-wearing levelling screed material in
domestic and light commercial applications subject to medium to
light trafficking.
Quality
The mix is a kiln dried, pre blended,
factory produced
1:4 cement:sand screed.
Mixing Instructions
To overcome any potential segregation
that has occurred during transit, thoroughly mix the maxi bag contents
before use.
The contents of the bag should be
thoroughly mixed by means of forced action mechanical mixers (eg pan or
paddle) with the minimum amount of clean water needed to provide
sufficient workability for both laying and thorough compaction.
The use of mechanical free fall mixers
should be avoided as their use can lead to the balling of screed
material and affect the materials performance.
Approximately 2 litres of clean water
should be used per bag and screed should be used within 60 minutes of
water addition.
Refrain from excessive water addition as
this will weaken the mix, delay setting times and adversely affect
durability.
There is no need to add further
additives or admixtures to the material on site as all required
constituents are already incorporated into the mix.

After Laying
For optimum results, the screed should be cured for at
least seven days after laying by covering with plastic sheeting or other
suitable material.
